| Abstract | Photograph found in a chimney in 15 Poplar Road, Stretford in 1981; the family is possibly the Parsonage family who were once occupants of the house. The house was built in 1859 by Rev John Simson, minister of Stretford Congregational Church. The house was sold in 1904? into private hands. It is not known if the house is where the photograph was taken, but it is possible that it is sited in the orchards at the bottom of the garden. |
