TitlePatrick and Austin Nolan
DescriptionPatrick, otherwise known as Peter, Nolan was the licensee of The Grapes, Regent Road, Altrincham. On the 1911 census he was living at 21 New Street, Altrincham. He was fifty-eight years old and working as a fitter's labourer at the Linotype works in Broadheath. He was born in Ballyhaunis, County Mayor. His wife Catherine, aged forty-nine, was born in Sale and their son Austin, aged seven, was born in Altrincham.

The man in the photograph was originally identified as Michael Nolan by the donor Mrs C. Nolan (married to the grandson of Michael). However, following research by Local Studies volunteer Richard Nelson, it is likely that it is Patrick. Richard's research is behind the photograph.
